Trail Description
This hike in Rocky Mountain National Park provides that "hiking in the big mountain" feeling. After passing Alberta Falls, the trail winds along a rocky path where the highest mountains come into view. Follow the left trail at the trail junction with The Loch. The last third of the hike crosses many rock slabs and following the trail can be a little difficult at times. Enjoy the grand views of Longs Peak' west side, Key Board of the Winds, and Pagoda Mountain to the south from Mills Lake. How to Get There
Take the Bear Lake Road from US 36 to the Glacier Gorge trailhead, 8.3 miles. Parking during the summer season is limited. It's best to utilize the Hiker Shuttle from the Estes Park Visitor Center and the Park Shuttle Buses. |
