A delightful hike in Rocky Mountain National Park through shimmering aspens and over mountain streams leads to this popular destination. The wide, smooth trail has a little elevation gain and there are many sunny places near the falls to enjoy a rest. The falls were named by Abner Sprague for his wife. Sprague, an early resident of the Park, gave names to many of the Park's prominent landmarks. How to Get There
Take the Bear Lake Road from US 36 to the Glacier Gorge trailhead, 8.3 miles. Parking during the summer season is limited. It's best to utilize the Hiker Shuttle from the Estes Park Visitor Center and the Park Shuttle Buses. |
