Trail Description
Stroll around the lake shore, rest on the numerous benches, and take in the fantastic mountain vistas of Rocky Mountain National Park, while enjoying the smooth, wide path on this short hike. The entire trail is handicap accessible and there is a pamphlet available to guide you on you Nature Walk. Abner Sprague lived here in the early 1900's and constructed this lake as a fishing pond. How to Get There Take the Bear Lake Road from US 36 5.9 miles to the sign for Sprague Lake. Parking during the summer season is very limited. It's best to utilize the Hiker Shuttle from the Estes Park Visitor Center and the Park Shuttle Buses. |
