Trail Description
This trail begins at the Bear Lake parking area (although one can also hike up from the Fern Lake trailhead) in Rocky Mountain National Park. Follow the Flattop Mtn trail for the first mile, then hike on an enjoyable trail toward Two Rivers Lake and Lake Helene. From here, the trail drops down to Odessa Lake. The hardest part of this hike is leaving the lake, the return begins by hiking back up. How to Get There
Take the Bear Lake Road from US 36 to the Bear Lake trailhead, 9.7 miles. Parking during the summer season is very limited. It's best to utilize the Hiker Shuttle from the Estes Park Visitor Center and the Park Shuttle Buses. |
