Trail Description
The first mile of this trail in Rocky Mountain National Park is easy hiking with fine views of the Front Range to the west. A dozen switchbacks lead up the western ridge, with views of the Mummy Range and Horseshoe Park to the north and the Front Range and Moraine Park to the south. There are some steep, rocky sections on the final stretch to the summit, but the views are unmatched! How to Get There From the National Park Headquarters, take US 36 west 4.5 miles to the Deer Ridge Junction trailhead. This is also the Junction with US 34. |
