Trail Description
This trail continues beyond Lawn Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, traveling first in subalpine terrain and then into the alpine. The trail skirts the north shoreline of Lawn Lake before rising toward The Saddle. After about one mile up the trail, a side trail heads to the south into the upper hanging valley, first to Little Crystal Lake and then to Crystal Lake at the foot of Mt. Fairchild. From downtown Estes Park, travel west on US 34, entering into The National Park, for about 6.8 miles. Turn right onto Old Fall River Road for about one tenth of a mile to the Lawn Lake Trailhead. |
