Trail Description
The Alluvial Fan trail is a short and easy hike designed to be a fully accessible trail that leads to a foot bridge crossing the Roaring River and an overlook with wonderful views of Horseshoe Falls as well as the Mummy Range and Endovalley. The trail offers an opportunity to explore the effects of the 1982 Lawn lake flood that created the alluvial fan. Parking is available on the east and west end of the trail. How to Get There
From downtown Estes Park, travel west on US 34, entering into The National Park, for about 6.8 miles. Turn right onto Old Fall River Road for about one half of a mile to the East Alluvial Fan Trailhead. |
